In Unstoppable: From Underdog to Undefeated: How I Became a Champion, we meet a young man who wants to win a wrestling title despite his physical condition, which seems to be incompatible with this ambition: he doesn't have a leg. We realize that we are watching a movie of this type with all the makings of an exciting, entertaining, and inspirational film if we assume that the story being told is based on Anthony Robles' real life.



The plot of Unstoppable follows two distinct paths that voluntarily and frequently cross. Anthony's training and athletic endeavors are the first, while his personal life and family dynamics are the second. The latter carries a great deal of weight in the movie, serving as the main motivation behind the protagonist's ambition to make an athletic statement. Therefore, the relationship with his mother is the real focus of Unstoppable, which is structured almost like a story with two voices while always staying true to Anthony's point of view.

Anyone who grew up in Britain knows the story of Britain's unwavering fighting spirit during World War II. In schools, children were repeatedly drilled into the story of how the great British nation bravely maintained a united front. Women took over the jobs that men conscripted into the war could not do, families were encouraged to grow vegetable gardens for "victory", and more than a million people, most of them children, were evacuated from the vulnerable city. Small Things Like These is an intimate, layered character study set in Ireland, with a focus on what matters: Bill Furlong (Cillian Murphy) is a local coal supplier with five daughters with his wife. A few days before Christmas in 1985, while delivering coal to a convent, he comes across a horrifying sight: a young woman being dragged, screaming and kicking, into the church by her mother and several nuns.
